Dr. Jones is one of the founding partners of Texas ENT Consultants and a co-director of the Children's ENT of Houston. He received his medical training at King’s College in London, England and his residency training at Metropolitan ENT Hospital and Charing Cross Hospital in London, followed by fellowship training in head and neck surgery at Toronto General Hospital. He is a Fellow of the Royal College of Surgeons - England and Canada.

While on the faculty of the Department of Otolaryngology at the University of Texas Medical Branch in Galveston, he served as assistant professor and deputy chairman. Dr. Jones established the Division of Pediatric Otolaryngology at that institution and oversaw resident education.

In 1981, he moved to Houston and established a highly successful pediatric otolaryngology practice in the Texas Medical Center. At that time, Dr. Jones joined the clinical faculty of the Department of Otolaryngology-Head and Neck Surgery at Baylor College of Medicine where he maintains his appointment as clinical assistant professor today.

Dr. Jones has served as past president of the Houston Society of Otolaryngology-Head and Neck Surgery, and he continues to be active in the American Academy of Otolaryngology-Head and Neck Surgery (AAO-HNS), the American Society of Pediatric Otolaryngology, and the Society of Ear, Nose and Throat Advances in Children. In 1995, Dr. Jones was awarded a Certificate of Honor by the AAO-HNS and he has repeatedly been named one of Houston’s “Top Doctors” by Inside Houston magazine. Dr. Jones was awarded the prestigious title of Distinguished Surgeon of the Year for 2003 by the Association of Operating Room Nurses.
